Vivid Sydney, Naturally

Vivid Festival, an annual celebration of light, music, and ideas, has become a beacon of creativity on the global stage. The festival transforms Sydney's iconic landmarks into a canvas of light and color, inviting artists to reinterpret the cityscape in extraordinary ways. Inspired by the master of all creators, Mother Nature, this year’s theme was Vivid Sydney, Naturally.

Byron Aerials showcase aerial videography at Vivid

Byron Aerials’s participation in Vivid 2023 was eagerly anticipated, given Craig’s reputation for infusing his videography with a sense of wonder and awe. The brief was embraced as we presentied a fully immersive motion picture installation at Vivid House, an experience in which visitors could lose themselves in the hypnotising wonderland of light, colour and wildlife from some of our best underwater and aerial work over the past 10 years. Our ability to capture the essence of natural elements through his lens allowed him to weave a narrative that resonated with all ages.

Creative vision

Parry's collaboration with Vivid showcased the versatility of his artistry and the malleability of his creative vision. His signature style, which often evokes a sense of wonder and introspection, found new dimensions amid the vibrant chaos of the festival. By navigating this juxtaposition, Parry underscored the interconnectedness of all forms of art, proving that his lens could capture beauty in both the wild and the manufactured.
